US Vietnam M1956 Suspenders 2nd Pattern Dated 1967 Size R Mint condition.

In 1961 the following improvements were made to the design of the M1956 load carrying suspenders:

• The rear straps were terminated with snap hooks rather than plain hooks.
• The front hook sleeping gear attachment loops were fabricated from flattened rather than rounded metal.

Though they were technically superseded in 1968 by the nylon M1967 version, the M1956 suspenders continued to be worn throughout the Vietnam War.
