The over-top (with hoody measures 29" armpit to armpit. No rips or tears and zipper working. Insignia on both arms, no tags or stamps. Truly rare to fins an original prop.
The Russian KLMK Red Dawn Movie CAMO is inspired by the Soviet-era KLMK (Kamuflirovannyi Letnyi Maskirovochnyi Kombinezon) pattern, a lightweight over-suit developed for Soviet forces during the Cold War
Original Prop, only one available. Now this is an interesting piece of film history. Made during the late Cold War and the sharp increase of hostility between the Soviet Union and the West, the 1984 (Not the bad remake) movie “Red Dawn” featured an array of Soviet style uniforms and equipment. As we did not exactly have a good relationship with the Soviet Union, uniforms often had to be recreated from photographs, this set is a prime example of that.
The KLMK pattern printed on the uniform is not an exact match to the Soviet produced ones, but it worked very well for the movie. This set is similar to the one seen being worn by Charlie Sheen in the famous photo of the Wolverines holding out in the mountains waiting to ambush a Soviet convoy.
There are no markings that we could find and the overall condition is quite nice.
This is a wonderful opportunity to add a great uniform set as seen on the hit movie Red Dawn! Comes more than ready for display.
